How Calendar Wizard works

The one-line version

You forward an email; we send back events. That's it.

What happens when you forward an email

When an email hits your forwarding address at @calendarwizard.app, here's the sequence:

  1. Cloudflare receives it. Your forwarding address routes to a Cloudflare Email Worker — a small program running at the network edge. No email ever sits in a mailbox we manage.
  2. Claude reads it. The email text is sent to Anthropic's Claude API with a prompt asking it to find calendar events — things with a date, time, or location attached. Claude returns structured data: title, date, time, location, and the exact phrase from the email that triggered the match.
  3. Your profile settings are applied. If you've set up filters (on a Pro plan), events are scored and filtered before the reply goes out. Keywords you've excluded are dropped.
  4. You get an email back. Each event has a title, date and time, and buttons to add it to Google Calendar or Outlook in one click.

Most replies come back within seconds. Occasionally during heavy load it can take up to 10 minutes.

What we do with the email content

We process it once to extract events, then we're done with it. We store the extracted events (title, date, time, location, the source phrase that matched) and some email metadata (subject line, sender address). We don't store the full body of the email you forwarded.

We don't sell the content, we don't share it with advertisers, and we don't use it to train AI models. Full details in the Privacy Policy.

When the AI gets it wrong

It will, sometimes. AI reads text well, but newsletters can be genuinely ambiguous — dates buried in parentheses, times in unusual formats, events mentioned twice under different headings. The model might catch something that isn't really a calendar event, or miss one that is.

That's why every event in the reply email has a Was this right? 👍 / 👎row. If you hit 👎 and tell us what was wrong, we save that note on your profile. The next time you forward an email, that correction is included in the AI's instructions — it learns not to repeat the same mistake for you.

You can see all your corrections at any time in your dashboard under Corrections.

What we cost

Calendar Wizard is free during launch testing — 10 emails per day, every user, no card required. Paid plans are coming soon. The plan we're building toward is $8/month for unlimited use, multiple profiles, and per-profile filters.

Who this is for

  • Parents drowning in school newsletters, league schedules, and class notices
  • Adults tracking events across multiple areas of life — work, family, hobbies, clubs
  • Anyone whose calendar events keep getting buried in walls of email text

Who this isn't for

  • People who want AI to scan all their email automatically. Calendar Wizard is opt-in per email — you forward what you want us to read. It never touches your inbox directly.
  • People who want two-way calendar sync. This is one-directional: email in, calendar invites out. We don't read your existing calendar or update events after the fact.
